Mount Pleasant Estate was established by legendary winemaker Maurice O'Shea in 1921. Recognizing qualities within his wine that reflected the personalities of family and friends, these wines continue a tradition of honouring those characters who shape our lives.
Inspired by the first visit of a reigning monarch to Australia in 1954, Philip Shiraz is classically Hunter Valley, representing the vintage, region and Mount Pleasant. This is a complex wine that has been hand crafted from blending small parcels of intensely flavoured Hunter Valley fruit. It is medium bodied and generous with attractive aromas of forest fruits and exotic spices, joined by raspberries and dark fruits and complimented by judicious oak and fine grained tannins.
