Released in small quantities and only in exceptional years, St Peters is Seppelt's flagship shiraz, testimony to the distinctive style and pedigree of Grampians shiraz. The lineage of this iconic wine dates back to 1964, when 'Great Western Hermitage', as it was then known, was first made. A complex, perfumed nose of violets and dark fruit laced with sweet spice, freshly cracked black pepper and charcuterie notes. The palate displays mulberry fruit combined with tight, fine tannins, a core of graphite-like mineral texture and a backbone of well-integrated spicy oak. This wine is delicately poised yet powerful with a persistent length of flavour.
